Ink Express e-commerce website launched December 2010
www.inkexpress.co.uk is a big ecommerce site delivered as a joint venture with James Tromans of Siteace. James has years of experience with the development of complex, database driven ecommerce websites, so he was ideal to work with. Ink Express are a major supplier of compatible inkjet cartridges and continuous ink systems, this is an extremely competitive sector so the site has to look good, be easy for the customer to locate his product quickly and easily and finally the purchasing process has to be fast, efficient and secure.
Developed in php, the site is fully content managed so Ink Express staff can update product information and pricing quickly and easily. There is also a bespoke back office order processing and management system, ensuring all orders are tracked, recorded and despatched promptly. The site has been running for around 6 weeks now and there has been a huge increase in sales over the original site. We are continuing to work with Ink Express to optimise the site to improve search performance but to date the site has been a resounding success.
